In the ancient Celtic tradition, selkies are creatures of the in-between — seals in the sea, women on the land. They shed their skins to dance beneath the full moon, and if a man finds a selkie's skin and hides it, she cannot return to the sea.

She stays. She loves. She tends the fire, raises children. But she never stops listening for the tide. The selkie myth is not really about magic.

It is about longing, captivity, the fine line between love & need, and the parts of ourselves we bury in order to belong.

Before the story begins, there is a shore. A full moon. Women who are not quite women, dancing where the tide meets the land.

Dancing with her sisters in the moonlight, Pearl's eyes meet the gaze of a lonely fisherman watching from the shadows — wanting something that isn't his to take, yet...

She doesn't stop dancing. She has no fear, no idea that nothing will ever be the same...

Pearl lives Between Worlds for seven summers. Reading people. Feeling emotions like water, knowing the reasons for the wounds. 

Goldie knows about beautiful nights that don't last, writing songs about love and longing, and about building a life from what's left when the music stops.

Morgan doesn't do things halfway. When she built a sanctuary for people to heal, she didn't know she would need it most of all.

 Their lives move like water — separate streams finding each other in the dark, pulled together by forces older than memory. Love. Loss. Longing. The truth that refuses to stay buried.

Author's Note:

The Celtic Healer is a longtime vision, a recurring dream...

A theme written in my notebooks, notes apps, and the old way: telling the stories in my skincare spa treatment rooms and around campfires for at least seven summers.

Years of paragraphs on pages, notes on napkins, lines on loose leaf, crumpled into corners, on the back burner.

Until Now.

In order to complete this project, I knew I needed a brain capable of taking the visions and stories swirling in my imagination and help me to organize the flow into the form of the book I've been dreaming for years — that part isn't my strong suit. 

AI collaboration made it happen.

Claude streamlined years of my notes, poems, and writing — assisting with organization, structure and clarity.

ChatGPT took my descriptions of the visions and ideas in my mind's eye and produced a visual image storyboard to illustrate the concepts of this story.

Suno turned my own poetry and lyrics + my ideas for how the songs should sound into an original soundtrack.

The imagination, the characters, the songs, the story, — those are mine and always have been. These tools helped me finally get them out of the corners and onto the page.

Completion of this is novel planned for 2027.
